Tony Derrick Martin (born September 5, 1965 in Miami, Florida), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the New York Jets in the 5th round of the 1989 NFL Draft. A 6'1", 177-lb. wide receiver from Mesa State College.
Martin played in 12 NFL seasons from 1990 to 2001. Martin's peak performance in his career came during the 1996 season for the San Diego Chargers when he was selected to his one and only Pro Bowl, catching 85 receptions for 1,171 yards and an NFL best 14 touchdowns.
Tony was in both Super Bowl XXIX with the San Diego Chargers and Super Bowl XXXIII with the Atlanta Falcons.
Martin is currently tied with eleven other receivers for longest career reception (99 Yards). His reception from Stan Humphries occurred during a September 18, 1994 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
He is divorced from actress LisaRaye McCoy.
